Survey Shows Medicine Co-Pays Costs Too High - Even w/Insurance
“A survey of our membership confirms that high co-pays are interfering with the health and well being of our membership,” said Jeff Hubbard, President of the Georgia Association of Educators (GAE), the professional association that represents more than 42,000 public educators throughout the state including classroom teachers, administrators, coaches, school nurses, counselors, janitors, cafeteria workers, and bus drivers. An article in the Atlanta Journal Constitution highlighted the 2010 budget cut to the stipend for National Board Certified Teachers (NBCT). We appreciate GAE members Pam McCann (Cobb County) and Steven and Charity Wang (Hall County) for contributing to this story.
